Taking our delicious plant-based European Butter to new heights, this simple compound butter recipe adds flavor and complexity to any dish. The zesty blend of chili, lime, and cilantro is an excellent pairing to a variety of Latin-inspired recipes, like adding a dollop to your favorite taco filling. Or sautéing veggies and finishing them with the compound butter for an ohso delicious addition. Other ideas include adding a spoonful to a warm, grilled steak or portobello, slathering on grilled bread, or a stirring into bowl of steamed rice. Talk about kicking it up a notch!
12 oz. wildCREAMERY European Butter, still chilled from fridge
1 Tbsp. chili powder
Zest of 1 lime
1 Tbsp. fresh cilantro, chopped
½ tsp. salt
Place all ingredients into a medium sized bowl. Using your hands (gloved or not), incorporate all ingredients together. The heat from your hands will warm the butter enough to thoroughly mix without melting. Work quickly to ensure the butter does not get too warm and separate.
Once all ingredients are incorporated evenly throughout the butter, place into an airtight container or wrap securely in plastic wrap and place back into the fridge. The butter will taste the best after one day spent infusing in the fridge.
