Sauerkraut Slaw Recipe
This sauerkraut slaw recipe is tart and salty with a hint of sweetness from the addition of chopped apples. It comes together in just a few minutes and will keep for at least a week in the fridge, getting tastier every day. For fun, try any of our krauts with it and serve it with your favorite bratwurst or alongside any grilled meats.
1 18 oz jar wildbrine® Raw Organic Green Kraut
3/4 cup shredded carrots
1/3 cup thinly sliced red onion
1 apple, chopped
Fresh ground pepper to taste
Mix kraut with shredded carrot, red onion, and apple; add some fresh ground pepper and toss. Can serve immediately or, for best results, refrigerate for an hour to meld the flavors.
